The mission of the hired person is to work on the tasks of the IDEWA project (PCI2020-112043) focused on the study of drainage in irrigation areas at various spatial scales and to evaluate the impact of this drainage on the river flow and the water quality downstream. Remote sensing data and models will be used for this purpose.

The candidate will join a dynamic research group for terrestrial ionospheric characterization, with extensive experience in national and international research projects. Candidate will have also the opportunity to collaborate with other research groups, both nationally and internationally.

The student will work for a maximum of 4 years in modeling geomagnetically induced currents by use of geomagnetic observatory data, magnetotelluric sounding and parameters from the Spanish power-grid.
